cute bunny

I'm back!!

I went missing. I'm sorry. I won't let it happen again. But this bunny is so cute, you'll forget to be mad at me.

(Random I know but I love bunnies.)

the fade

We took down our adorable little Christmas tree today, along with the lights on the front porch and the wreath off the door...a little late I know. The fade after the holidays can certainly put a damper on things. However I am going to persevere and find something everyday to make me smile. Here are a few wonderful things about this year...

(my new day planner, full of inspiring quotes)

(having champagne mondays...or wednesdays...or thursdays...)

(eating potato soup when it's freezing cold out)

(my ADORABLE cousins that I just can't get enough of)

book love

So I have a big crush coffee table books. What can I say they make me happy...the soft covers and thick pages, there is something about them that makes them much more regal than other books. I mean come on, they live on your coffee table, out in the open for everyone to see. Showing off colorful photographs and pages lush with random facts and information. My collection started with Audrey Hepburn, An Elegant Spirit and Stanley Kubrick, Visual Poet. Both are amazing reads and I still find myself paging though them while sitting on the couch and no matter how many times, I still thoroughly enjoy them.

My mother is very familiar with my adoration for books of any kind and I received two more for my coffee table collection. I couldn't help but devour I Love Your Style the second it fell into my hands. Amanda Brooks shares with us her remarkable taste for fashion and guides you toward cultivating your very own style.

oh how i love new york

My weekend back in Manhattan was wonderful to say the least. I adore that city and can't wait to be back as a permanent resident. Meandering around the city with my girlfriends was the best way to bring in the new year.

(I took charge of the camera leaving Vanessa and Courtney as my victims)

After wandering around the park and stopping by the Met we were small frozen children and decided to find a coffee shop. Hoping for something other than Starbucks, we could not have found a better place. A simply adorable cafe on the upper east side called Via Quadronno. Although we only ducked in for coffee we were quickly seduced and couldn't help but indulge...hot chocolate and baileys, not to mention the Quattro Formaggi (I become weak at the knees when it comes to cheese).

Although our experience at VQ was a delightful escape from the blustery wind on the city streets, we ventured back out to make the most of our day. Continuing to explore until heading home for a little rest before our night out. Dinner time came and another amazing discovery made that day, the restaurant Bread in SoHo...the panini's were delicious and the fresh linguine with pesto was to die for. From there we continued to frolick the city till the wee hours of the morning.

runaway

Currently laying in bed listening to some music and came upon many songs about running away...which sometimes sounds like a great idea.

Take my hand and run away with me into the snowy night...

Haha, sorry to get all cheesy on you but I do love snow and there is something about it that makes everything seem peaceful and romantic. A city blanketed in snow? What could be more beautiful and conducive to snuggling with the one you love.

Had to put the photo of the mall in central park...I adore it in any season.

the little muffin

I thought I would start out with a picture of the cutest cat that has ever come into my life - and let me tell you, there have been many. I can't even begin to explain how many times my mother told me she would kill me if I brought home another cat. The threat never discouraged me though. I was/am/will always be a sucker for an animal with no home. So when Muffin walked onto my porch junior year of college, I was done for. She was so tiny and very outgoing, how could I not invite her in. Now she obviously pulled the wool over my eyes because after about a week, she showed her true colors and her brave front disappeared. I have never met a cat more terrified of everything from her own shadow to the noise a tissue makes when you pull it from the box. Nevertheless, she is my baby and is without a doubt the most adorable thing in my life.
